WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — The Valley West Mall has a new buyer, and that could mean big changes coming to the community.
This long journey for a new owner began when the mall’s previous owners defaulted on their mortgage in 2022. Mall walkers told Local 5 that, since then, it’s been a long decline for the historic mall.
“Used to come to this mall quite a bit back in the day. We’re in the area today and figured we’d stop by and see what’s going on, and it’s pretty empty,” one walker shared…
