The Southgate Planning Commission unanimously approved a new Seven Brew coffee shop despite opposition from hundreds who fear it could bring the same traffic created by another location in Allen Park.
More than 400 people signed a petition against the development at 15748 Fort Street that is currently occupied by Heritage Funeral Home; the owner has sold the business and the building will be torn down.
