SOUTHFIELD — At its committee of the whole meeting on Sept. 14, the Southfield City Council heard a presentation and had a discussion on a proposed Costco gas station.
The gas station would be located at 15530 Northland Drive, placing it across the street from the Costco Business Center located at 21110 Northwestern Highway. The site must be rezoned before any construction can take place. Additionally, Costco must present its site plans at a public hearing for special land use.
The proposed gas station is planned to have 16 pumping stations with a total of 32 fuel dispensers, parking for staff and a mechanical building with a bathroom and an office for its attendant.
