Grass fire burns roughly 3 acres in southeast Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — A grass fire burned about three acres Sunday afternoon near South Midwest Blvd. and SE 104th St. in southeast Oklahoma City.

The fire was reported around 1 p.m. on private property where farmers had been baling hay. Firefighters said the flames spread into a wooded area with trees, prompting a mutual aid response from the Moore Fire Department.

As of Sunday afternoon, the fire was about 95 percent contained. Crews were working to extinguish several burning hay bales and remaining hotspots…
