Choctaw Police officers placed on leave amid investigation

CHOCTAW, Okla. – Two officers with the Choctaw Police Department have been placed on administrative leave following a report of possible inappropriate contact with a juvenile, according to investigators.

In a press release from the Choctaw Police Department, officers say the move to place the two officers on leave came shortly after the department was notified by Sheriff Tommie Johnson III of the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the department, the sheriff had contacted CPD to advise that a report had been filed involving the two officers. Within 15 minutes of that conversation, Choctaw Chief of Police Kelly Marshall says both officers were placed on leave as they arrived for their shifts.
