CRRUA: Now compliant on all past lead, copper notification violations

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) says it is now fully compliant with all applicable federal and state lead and copper notification violations dating from 2011 to 2025.

As a result, the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) has updated CRRUA’s compliance status on the state’s Drinking Water Watch system – a public database maintained by NMED that allows access to information about public water systems throughout New Mexico. The system provides transparency by enabling users to review water quality data, regulatory compliance status, and sampling results, the utility said.

The utility’s release from “Drinking Water Watch” status confirms that all required corrective actions and compliance obligations associated with lead and copper requirements have been successfully completed, CRRUA said…
