A semi-truck heading northbound on Interstate 5 (I-5) drove through the right shoulder guardrail and ended up overturned near Springfield, according to Oregon State Police (OSP).
At 1:44 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1, a blue Volvo commercial motor vehicle pulling a refrigerated trailer attempted to make a sweeping left-hand curve near milepost 191 of I-5 when it struck the right shoulder guard rail, sending the truck down the embankment, where it landed overturned.
The driver, identified as 24-year-old Harleenjot Singh from Manteca, Calif., was transported to a nearby hospital after sustaining minor injuries. According to OSP, Singh said he fell asleep and estimated his speed to be 62 miles per hour at the time of the incident…
