EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — A multi-agency drug investigation led to the arrest of multiple people and the seizure of a massive amount of illegal narcotics, a firearm, and digital scales from an Evansville home on Wednesday.
Officers with the Evansville-Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force arrested 32-year-old Charico Carter, 30-year-old Vanessa Haskins, and 43-year-old Louis Schablik after serving a search warrant at a residence along Herbert Avenue. In total, police seized more than 278 grams of fentanyl, 3.3 pounds of cocaine, multiple digital scales, and a revolver.
According to affidavits of probable cause, detectives began investigating the home after receiving multiple neighbor complaints and tips regarding heavy foot and vehicle traffic at all hours since 2022.
