PINE BELT, Miss. (WDAM) – There is a little more pain at the gas pumps this Memorial Day than in the last four years. On Monday, the national average price for regular fuel hit $4.51 a gallon. That’s up more than $1.33 from this time last year.
According to the American Automobile Association, the average U.S. price on Memorial Day in 2022 hit $4.61 a gallon.
The national average has hovered over $4 for a month. According to AAA, the average U.S. price is only a couple of quarters away from the highest recorded price of $5.02 on June 14, 2022…
