CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) – Friends and family will gather this Saturday at Wrexham Hall to shine a spotlight on the disappearance of Amy Bradley, a Chesterfield woman who vanished in plain sight while on a family cruise on March 24, 1998.
Ron and Iva Bradley, Amy’s parents, are holding out hope for the day they can finally reunite with their daughter.
“God knows where Amy is and, in His timing, we will find her,” said Iva Bradley. “I feel her in my heart, I think she’s out there and she can always count on us.”
Nearly three decades later, Amy’s family is determined to bring her home and make sure this doesn’t happen to other families through an effort called the “Amy Alert.”
“You’ve heard of the Amber Alert, well there needs to be an Amy Alert for people who board cruise ships,” Iva Bradley said.
Under the proposed emergency alert system, an instant alert would be sent to all cruise ship passengers if someone goes missing, showing their photo and last known location on cruise ship apps, TVs and PA systems…
