ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — RAAWWWRRR! A jura-sick new exhibit has opened up at the New York State Museum in Albany. “Expedition Dinosaur: Rise of the Mammals” is on display until January 2027.

The exhibit, which opened on Saturday, explores prehistoric life with life-sized dinosaur animatronics, fossils, interactive experiences and immersive environments. Visitors will be able to marvel at creatures like the Tyrannosaurus rex, Quetzalcoatlus, Triisodon and Loxolophus.
Those who enjoy a more hands-on experience can channel their inner paleontologist with the exhibition’s fossil dig, fossil scanner, augmented reality sandbox and “Dinosaur Draw Alive” activity. Using 360-degree light and sound effects, the exhibit’s “Asteroid Experience” will also offer an immersive look at the catastrophic event that led to mass extinction and brought in the age of the mammals about 66 million years ago…
