On May 23, 2026, at 2:24 p.m., officers responded to El Ranchito Supermarket located in the 500 block of East Cass Street after receiving information that a male suspect had allegedly attached a skimming device to a credit card terminal at one of the store’s checkout lanes.
Officers reviewed store surveillance footage, which showed the suspect briefly removing an unknown object from his wallet and making contact with the credit card terminal before completing his transaction.
