HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Drivers heading westbound on Interstate 4 tonight will need to navigate around a sudden detour. The westbound I-4 exit ramp to McIntosh Road (Exit 14) is scheduled to close down completely starting at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2. The ramp will remain closed overnight, reopening at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, provided that local weather conditions permit the work to move forward.
The temporary closure is required to accommodate ongoing construction crews working on the I-4 interchange improvements at McIntosh Road in Hillsborough County.
