KARNS, Tenn. (WVLT) — A bald eagle that escaped from Dollywood’s Eagle Mountain Sanctuary during April storms has been spotted in a Karns neighborhood, and residents say the bird appears to have settled in.
Celine Coulter said she came home Sunday afternoon to find duck feathers scattered across her yard in the Karns subdivision. When she walked toward her garage, she saw the remnants of a duck, and then spotted a bald eagle just feet away.
“When I walked around to the side where my garage door is, I could see the remnants of the duck,” Coulter said. “And about that time, I see a big bald eagle stick its head out from behind the garbage can.”…
