ST. LOUIS – A man is facing several felony charges following a standoff involving police and SWAT officers earlier this week.
According to officials, police attempted to conduct a traffic stop Monday afternoon on 42-year-old Jhirrica Ware’s as he was driving recklessly when he continued driving in a construction zone on Grand Boulevard, entering a closed lane. Ware had nearly struck a construction worker, police added.
The pursuit led to Ware entering the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 2100 block of S. Grand Blvd. He refused to exit his vehicle with officer’s orders and allegedly brandished a hammer at police…
