St. Louis shuts down streets to cars, hands them over to neighbors

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Some streets in St. Louis are closed to traffic for the summer as part of a pilot program creating temporary public plazas on underutilized streets.

Two locations are participating in this year’s program: Marquette Park on Compton Avenue in the Dutchtown neighborhood and Robert Avenue at South Broadway in the Patch neighborhood.
