ST. LOUIS – A Ferguson man admitted in federal court Tuesday that he bought nearly 27 firearms, which were located in the possession of other individuals who had been arrested.
According to federal prosecutors, 33-year-old Lamondre Haynes purchased 27 firearms. Those guns were found by police in Kentucky, Illinois and Missouri while making arrests for individuals who were caught for drug violations, violent assault and gun possession.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri says that Haynes bought a firearm on April 2, 2025, in St. Louis County. An Illinois convicted felon—who did put down some of the cash used in the sale—was present while Haynes claimed he was the transferee/buyer of the gun, firearm transaction records showed.
