COOK COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) – A Chicago man was arrested in Cook County, almost a month after authorities say he was involved in a police chase with a stolen Jeep in Rochelle.
Jesus Castillo, 34, faces a possession of a stolen motor vehicle charge out of Ogle County and other unrelated charges in Cook County.
On May 9, Ogle County deputies located a white Jeep Grand Cherokee reported stolen and tried to pull over the car near the intersection of N Illinois Route 251 and E. Eddy Road.
Deputies say the car fled south on Route 251, going over 100 miles per hour. They continued to chase the Jeep onto E. Illinois Route 64, which then began driving down the wrong way of the northbound lanes on I-39…
