The International Women’s Baseball Center (IWBC) will celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of Beyer Stadium at Maybelle Blair Park in Rockford on Saturday, June 20, marking the completion of a major restoration effort to preserve the stadium’s legacy.
The free community event will welcome fans, families, partners, and baseball enthusiasts to one of Rockford’s most historic athletic venues.
Honoring a Trailblazer’s Legacy
The celebration will also recognize the lasting impact of Maybelle Blair, whose advocacy and contributions helped elevate opportunities for women in sports. Blair, a former professional baseball player and co-founder of IWBC, is scheduled to participate in the festivities alongside other special guests and community leaders.
Organizers say the restoration project reflects a broader commitment to preserving women’s baseball history while creating new pathways for participation in the sport.
