WALKER COUNTY, Ala. — A Walker County judge set a $250,000 cash-only bond Tuesday for an 18-year-old charged with murder in a deadly Sumiton shooting after hearing testimony about what happened in the minutes leading up to the gunfire.
Timothy Braden Crawford appeared in court for an Aniah’s Law hearing, where prosecutors argued he poses a danger to the community. Defense attorneys countered that Crawford acted in self-defense and pointed to his lack of a criminal record, steady employment and developmental disabilities.
