Jamie Ertle’s First Alert Forecast for June 11, 2026

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – We’re starting to heat up, and tomorrow into the weekend, we’ll surge. We do have a few triple digit feels like temps today to include Beaufort at 103° and Jesup at 101°. On Friday and Saturday afternoon heat index values could climb into the 105 to 112 degree range across the I-95/coastal corridor. Rain chances are also going up, and we definitely need more rain.

Our drought monitor is slowly improving. Extreme drought still plagues the Lowcountry through Savannah, Bryan, Liberty, Long, and McIntosh Counties. The rest of us have been upgraded to Severe drought. Just weeks ago we were in the worst drought, Exceptional drought.
