Summer is just about here, and it will be hot, hot, hot!
Sometimes it’s even too hot to get out and run errands. Whenever we go out, whether it be grocery shopping or coming back from an event, we usually stop to get an ice-cold drink.
With a toddler, I know how hard it can be to make a quick run. They sure do know how to make a 5-minute trip into a 30-minute ordeal! So it’s good to have a list of drive-thru places that you can just zip through!
Yellow Dog Drive-Thru | Norman
I’m adding this to the top of my list because I had no idea this place is so close to my house! Reading the reviews, it sounds like their caramel macchiato can’t be beat!
Classic 50’s Drive-In | Norman
Think Sonic, but older! This is where we used to go when we were just Freshmen in College! We’d always get the ‘Sprittle or Spritzle’ and it was just a cute little twist on Sprite. It’s Sprite with skittles dropped in!
White Buffalo Coffee Bar | 6 locations all across the metro
Found in 2017, in Altus, OK, they now have a dozen locations between Oklahoma and Texas! From lattes to iced coffees, to protein drinks and smoothies, they serve quick and easy breakfast and lunch items as well as delicious drinks. They have a large variety of their signature drinks, which are just “frapps.” They are delicious!
Bee Healthy Cafe | locations all across the metro
They opened in 20o7 in Oklahoma City with the idea to share their healthy recipes with the public! Their food is so yummy and light. There is something for everyone! They serve all different kinds of smoothies, wraps, acai bowls, toasts, and breakfast sandwiches/burritos. I have not found my favorite smoothie yet, but I’m having fun trying them one at a time!
Surf Bar : 9 locations across the metro
My favorite thing is the bowls: the acai for the base and then nu-stella for the toppings. So good! Literally cannot go wrong with any of them. They’ll let you swap fruits too or make your own perfect bowl!
HQ Coffee : Asian district
Blink and you’ll miss it! A tiny spot in the middle of Classen and 23rd St. Must try their strawberry matcha!
