There was that time when Peaches Christ freaked out over Freddy Krueger.
It was in 1987. Now nearly four decades later, Joshua Grannell, best known by his drag persona, San Francisco’s “Queen of Halloween” will attempt to recreate the experience at the 4 Star as part of a new occasional series, I Lost It Over, in which Bay Area luminaries select movies they saw in a theater that inspired them — or at least blew their mind.
For Peaches Christ, that was “A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors,” in which a young Patricia Arquette is framed for a suicide attempt that was actually caused by dream-stalking monster Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund), sending her to the psycho ward…
