A woman was arrested with fentanyl after showing signs of extreme nervousness during a traffic stop in Wildwood.
An officer pulled over 32-year-old Karyn Ashley Osman at Stanley and Missouri Avenues around 10:50 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. He had seen her orange Hyundai Hatchback proceed through a stop sign without coming to a complete stop before the white bar.
Osman showed signs of extreme nervousness during the traffic stop, including repeatedly clutching her purse. She was also in a well-known high-crime and high-narcotics area without being a resident of Wildwood. Due to this, a K-9 was used to check for narcotics, and it rendered a positive alert, the report said.
A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded two shards of a crystalline, rock-like substance in the center console. Although initially thought to be crystal meth, it tested positive for fentanyl. Osman later stated she did not know it would be fentanyl, but the substance should be primarily crystal meth, the report said…
