Hendrick Hudson athletes enjoyed a successful showing at the 2026 New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held June 13-14 at Webster Schroeder High School in Webster, N.Y.
The Sailors were led by sophomore standout Sophia Savatgy, who added multiple medals to her already impressive resume. Savatgy captured Class B state titles in both the 100-meter dash (12.19) and 200-meter dash (24.55). She also placed third in the 400 meters with a time of 56.10 seconds.
Her performances earned her qualification for the Federation Championships, which feature both public and private school athletes, in all three events. Savatgy went on to place seventh in the 100 meters and eighth in both the 200 meters and 400 meters…
