Staten Island should prepare for dangerous conditions Thursday as strong winds, heavy surf and possible thunderstorms threaten the area.
According to the National Weather Service, strong southerly winds of around 30 mph will generate 4- to 6-foot breaking waves along Staten Island’s shoreline Thursday, creating dangerous swimming conditions.
