MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — McNabb Center’s Blount County Transition Campus, which is meant to treat incarcerated men with mental health conditions and people struggling with substance use, had its ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday.
The five-building campus is intended to help people with recovery and reentry into the community after incarceration. This includes services like therapy, life skills development, medication evaluation and management, case management and recovery support services. It’s designed to serve up to 56 people.

“For what government won’t be able to accomplish, thank goodness to those at the McNabb Center and the work they all do,” said Tennessee Representative Tim Burchett. “Some of the best people I’ve met in my life are in this room. You all represent the best in this country for what you do.”
Funding from Blount County, an Opioid Abatement Community grant and two grants from Tennessee’s Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services made this possible, the McNabb Center said. Officials broke ground on this campus in February 2025…
