KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – A recent announcement that one segment of the Alcoa Highway construction project will take longer than originally scheduled has raised questions about the timeline for the multi-year project.
TDOT officials made the decision to break up the construction into seven sections due to the size of the Alcoa Highway project.
Three sections have already been completed. Work from north of Hall Road to Tyson Boulevard was complete in the summer of 2022.
