Harrisburg man, convicted of gun charge after three trials, learns his sentence

Five years, three trials and a litany of health concerns later, the criminal case against Imhotep Muhammad involving a 2021 traffic stop in Harrisburg has been resolved.

And on Wednesday, Dauphin County Judge Katy McShane decided his fate for the May 13, 2021 traffic stop that led to a gun charge.

State police pulled Muhammad over for a broken brake light and found a bag of marijuana on him, so they tried handcuffing him. He pulled his hands away, so state troopers “escorted him to the ground” and wrestled him on the pavement…
