Judge recuses herself from alleged OWE shooter’s case because she knows a victim; no bond issued for Crisp-Carr

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – One of two men accused of firing into a crowd during Toledo’s Old West End Festival was back in court Thursday where a new judge was set and bond was amended.

Court filings show Eljay Crisp-Carr was back in court on June 18. He’s facing 11 counts of felonious assault for the mass shooting that injured at least a dozen people.

Judge Khoury asked to recuse herself from the case on June 18 due to “a potential perceived conflict knowing one of the alleged victims,” the court filings show. Judge Keller will now hear the case…
