KANSAS CITY, Mo. — More than 700 people have already been approved for discounted RideKC bus passes, just weeks after bus fares returned for the first time in six years.
The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) and United Way of Greater Kansas City partnered together to help qualifying individuals.
According to United Way, 716 applications for discounted fares have been approved since the program launched earlier this month. Another 67 applications are still being processed, while only two were denied because applicants did not meet eligibility requirements…
