NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The fifth annual Juneteenth Family Fest at Riverfront Park is Saturday and features family activities celebrating the journey to freedom.
The day-long event includes live performances, local vendors, cultural art displays, food trucks, children’s games, a fireworks finale, and more. Non-profit organizations and historically Black colleges and universities will attend.
The schedule consists of:
- 2:00 p.m. – Gates open
- 3:00 p.m. – National Anthem by Tommy Brown featuring The Lowcountry Voices
- 3:30 p.m. – Dance performance by Wona Womalan African Drum and Dance
- 4:00 p.m. – Black culture trivia with special guest Riecy G
- 4:30 p.m. – Gospel performance by Mike Brown Jr.
- 5:15 p.m. – Giveaways and scholarship presentations
- 6:00 p.m. – Line dancing on the lawn with Coach Dia
- 7:30 p.m. – Gospel performance by Natasha Gray
- 8:15 p.m. – Featured artist, Chukk Gregory
- 9:25 p.m. – Performance by Tommy Brown featuring Jordan Giancursio
- 9:30 p.m. – Fireworks show finale
