FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Later this summer, 20 blocks of downtown Fort Wayne will be temporarily repurposed for one afternoon of strolling and rolling — but not driving.
Open Streets Fort Wayne returns Sunday, Aug. 16 from noon to 4 p.m. Cars will be blocked from entry on Calhoun Street between The Landing/Superior Street and Pontiac Street, allowing attendees the chance to roam the boundaries on foot, scooters, skateboards or bikes.
About 125 providers are slated to have games, activities and food. There will also be live entertainment and a special appearance from the Fort Wayne FC, whose team will have a meet-and-greet. Other new plans this year include live ice sculpting, a rapid chess tournament, a fitness challenge with a leaderboard, and roping activities from the Summit Equestrian Club…
