AG: Medicaid fraud charges filed against 8 Pennsylvania residents

(WHTM) — The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office announced on Wednesday that charges were filed against eight people for Medicaid fraud, resulting in a loss of more than $260,000.

Dave Sunday’s Office said the following face charges of Medicaid fraud, theft by deception and tampering with public records:

  • Kyania Townes, 40, of Philadelphia
  • Takisha Armstrong, 38, of Philadelphia
  • Ghada Mahjoub, 54, of Jenkintown
  • Samantha Hall, 34, of York
  • Jennifer Coleman, 51, of York
  • Edward Green, 50, of Philadelphia
  • Teresa Geiger, 47, of Apollo
  • Shaquil Veney, 32, of Philadelphia

Time entries Townes submitted to the home care agency she was employed under overlapped with shifts she was working at hospitals, Sunday said. She allegedly defrauded $108,344.

Armstrong submitted time entries for more than one Medicaid consumer at the same time, and she was paid $70,0332 for services she did not provide, according to investigators…
