STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Staten Island Academy hosted a reception Thursday evening to celebrate its acquisition of 8 Circle Road, a property adjacent to the school’s campus on Todt Hill that will support the next phase of its expansion.
The property will house educational spaces and administrative offices, allowing the main campus to add classrooms and enhanced programming as enrollment grows, according to the school’s leadership.
“The school’s enrollment is growing significantly and we are seeking ways for our physical plant to match our superior academic program,” said Dr. Eileen F. Corigliano, head of school. “The purchase of this new property will allow us to continue expanding our program while preserving the breadth and excellence of all that we offer through academics, the arts, athletics, and service learning.”
The acquisition follows recent campus improvements completed in September, including a 2-D Art Studio, Library and Multicultural Center, and Innovation Lab.
