INDOT introduces ‘quadrant roadway’ amid construction on IN-930

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – The Indiana Department of Transportation announced on Wednesday a new method of traffic control near construction on State Road 930 and Maplecrest Road.

The new ‘Quadrant Roadway’ intersection of IN-930 and Maplecrest Road will open after the 4th of July.

A quadrant roadway is a traffic design that re-routes all left-turning traffic at a busy 4-way intersection onto a dedicated connector road in one of the road’s “quadrants”. The idea is to keep everyone turning left more safely while still keeping traffic flowing efficiently at busier intersections…
