MARIETTA — With more than 4,300 different 10-digit phone numbers assigned across Cobb County government, Cobb Communications is hoping to simplify how residents connect with county services through a single, easy-to-remember number: 311.
Describing the initiative as “one call to many solutions,” Interim Communications Director Shelly Weidner and Abbylynn Anderson, communications customer service and CableTV franchise manager, appeared before the Cobb Board of Commissioners this week to request eight new positions totaling $379,842. The positions would allow the county to officially establish Cobb311 as its centralized customer service center.
