Free overdose kits offered at vending machines on Staten Island, alongside other health supplies

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — In an effort to expand access to potentially lifesaving resources, the city has installed two vending machines on Staten Island that provide free health and harm-reduction supplies, officials announced Monday.

The machines are stocked with overdose rescue kits, which include naloxone, drug-testing strips, COVID-19 and flu testing kits, menstrual kits, hygiene kits, wound-care kits, Plan B, safe-sex kits, and socks.
