Morning temperatures haven’t cooled down much as we already start off the day in the middle to upper 70s with a muggy feel. A Heat Advisory is in effect for all North Alabama and Middle Tennessee counties through 7:00 PM CDT. This is an extended stretch of hot and humid weather, heat related illnesses will be possible. Please practice heat safety, stay cool, hydrate and avoid strenuous activity during the hottest hours of the day.
Today brings more sunshine and some passing clouds with high temperatures quickly climbing into the middle 90s. The heat index this afternoon will range from 100 to 108 degrees.
