New Castle County emergency responders treated three people, including two who were critically injured, following a three-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on DuPont Parkway (U.S. 13) at Boyds Corner Road.
Just after 9:00 am New Castle County Paramedics along with several fire companies responded after initial reports indicated multiple patients and possible entrapment. Crews arrived to find a crash involving a crossover vehicle and two SUVs with three injured occupants. After assessing the scene, responders determined that none of the patients required extrication.
A 79-year-old woman suffered extremity and internal injuries and was transported to Christiana Hospital by New Castle County Paramedics aboard an Odessa Fire Company ambulance in critical condition. A 79-year-old man sustained extremity and chest injuries and was transported to Christiana Hospital in critical condition by New Castle County Paramedics and a State of Delaware EMS physician aboard a Port Penn Fire Company ambulance. A 51-year-old woman suffered extremity and abdominal injuries and was transported to Christiana Hospital by New Castle County Paramedics aboard a Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown ambulance in serious condition…
