Flash flooding threatens NYC, NJ and Long Island

NEW YORK (PIX11) — A flood watch is in effect for all of Long Island, New York City, Westchester and northern New Jersey.

After days of intense heat, power outages and downed trees, the National Weather Service issued the flood watch for Sunday afternoon through Monday night.

All the areas within the flood watch are expected to get 2-3 inches, possibly 4 or more inches in some areas.
