Slug Stroll: 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, O’Hara Woods Preserve, Romeoville. Search for slugs during a slow stroll through the woods while learning about these slimy mollusks and their unusual adaptations. The hike will be 2 to 3 miles on natural trails. All ages; free. Register by July 18.
Nature Play Day After Hours – The Art of Nests: 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, Plum Creek Nature Center, Crete Township. Explore the creative and colorful world of nests during this program inspired by the “Winged Ambassadors” exhibit. The program includes a story, hike, game and crafts. Ages 3-5; free.
