Lexington sees heavy downpour, residents say apartment floods every time it rains

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Flash flooding can happen at any time and that includes here in Lexington.

On Tuesday evening, flash flooding swept through the southern part of town and into northern Jessamine County.

On June 22, city fire crews were dispatched to a flooded apartment complex on Press Avenue where they had to evacuate five people. That same day, floodwaters rushed down the street in the Warehouse Block area, affecting local restaurants Minton’s and Epping’s on Eastside…
