Chattanooga woman brings Lady Liberty to life on Northshore with message of kindness

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — In a spot more commonly associated with tourists and riverfront views, a familiar American symbol has been showing up nearly every day on Chattanooga’s Northshore: Lady Liberty.

For several months, Chattanooga resident Paula Muina has been dressing as Lady Liberty and standing near the corner of Market Street and Frazier Avenue, waving to drivers and passersby.

She said she comes to the corner nearly every day because she felt she had to lead by example.
