Rare toad spotted at Springs Preserve for first time in nearly 65 years

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A rare toad species known as Woodhouse’s Toad has been recorded at the Springs Preserve for the first time since approximately 1962, according to a post from the preserve.

A trail camera captured a lone adult male calling in the Cienega area of the preserve. There have been no records of any toads at the site since the original springs ran dry around 1962…
