The earliest Datsun 240Zs are slightly different than the same cars that came later in the production run. These early Datsun Zs earned the nickname “Series 1” and are highly prized amongst Datsun collectors.
So imagine our surprise when we bumped into the owner of one of these coveted early Series 1 Z cars during breakfast before we left our hotel to officially begin the Hot Rod Power Tour!
