INDIANAPOLIS — A man is in custody and facing criminal recklessness charges after allegedly shooting out the back window of a moving Lyft vehicle on the near south side of Indianapolis Friday.
The shooting
Just before midnight July 10, IMPD officers responded to a report of a shooting at the intersection of West Gimber Street and Bluff Road, near South Meridian Street.
When police arrived on scene, court documents reveal that they found a Lyft car with bullet holes in it and damage from multiple gunshots.
While investigating, police spoke with the driver of the Lyft. He told police that, while driving a customer, he drove by a man who pulled out a handgun and “shot the gun five to six times, striking the back window…
