LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Michigan is investing in the future of emergency response with the opening of a newly renovated hazardous materials training center in Lansing.
Michigan State Police leaders and first responders gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Emergency Management and Homeland Security Training Center’s Hazardous Materials Training Unit.
The expanded facility is designed to prepare firefighters, police officers and other emergency crews for incidents involving chemical spills, fuel leaks, tanker rollovers, electric vehicle battery fires and other complex emergencies.
