Vancouver Girl Scout earns medal of honor for saving drowning boy

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Local girl scout Madilyn Berry, 17, was enjoying a summer day on the islands of Greece when screams broke out.

She saw a boy bobbing up and down in the water, and without thinking twice, jumped in and saved him from drowning. The heroic feat earned Berry a Girl Scouts Medal of Honor.
