KA-BOOM! Well, last weekend was the 4th of July, and it was hot, sweaty, and very boisterous. We don’t get many fireworks in our neck of the woods, but as I predicted, this year was completely different. Mom and I spent the better part of our time watching the Giants lose (okay, one win), noshing on FSU corn, and enjoying some classic baseball movies. A League of Their Own playfully reminds us there’s no crying in baseball, and The Sandlot serves up a hilarious tutorial on making America’s favorite campfire snack. You’re killing me Smalls! Hmm, maybe San Francisco should try a treehouse sleepover and a batch of s’mores. As for all those bottle rockets, mortars, and roman candles, they shook our house like a freight train speeding down the tracks. Even though the booming was ear-splitting, the fiery display of colors in the night was pretty darn amazing. It was like someone splashed a gigantic Jackson Pollack painting all over the heavens and turned them into a rainbow explosion of Skittles. Sweet!…
